Take Me To Church is a project by Groninger Kerken, owner of the church in Holwierde. Through this project, the organization aims to actively involve young people in the use of religious heritage while giving them space to develop their talents. With Take Me To Church, Groninger Kerken explores new ways of activating and reimagining historic churches.

young people were invited to help rethink how the church in Holwierde could be used in new ways. The response was overwhelming. An enthusiastic youth committee was formed. After an initial introduction and a series of creative workshops, the group has now become a permanent collective. Together, they develop and organize fresh, contemporary events inside the church of Holwierde.
